从黄泥坳沿山脚小路翻过一个小山头，就到了山背冲村。
在这段路程的中间，有一个人人谈虎色变的池塘，大约四十多个平方。
横向距离也就十来米的样子。
一般的人在白天经过这里都会快速的通过，到了太阳落山的时候，基本就没有人经过这里。
有必须要通过的也会绕道山上，宁愿多走两里路。

这个池塘之所以这么邪乎，原因就在于这个池塘已经死过三个人了。
第一个人是在游泳的时候淹死的，第二个是自己自杀选择了这里。
第三个也就是半年前又淹死了一个小伙子。
说起这第三个淹死的小伙子啊，大家都觉得很蹊跷。
话说那天黄三（那个最近淹死的小伙子），和另外两个同伴大中午的从这里通过。
时值酷暑，大家突发奇想，打赌说敢不敢下池塘去游泳。
大家都是血气方刚的小伙子，说干就干谁也不认输。
大约游了半个小时的时候，黄三突然喊救命，另外两个就看见黄三拼命的在折腾，一上一下的。
像是有什么东西攥着他往下面拖。
大家往他的方向游过去，却发现他越来越远。
一会就不见了人影，在最后的时候，还听见了黄三喊有人拖我。

黄三就这样走了。
这个池塘也就成了充满邪气的地方。
人人避而远之。
但有一个人例外，这个人就是黄泥坳的东子。
东子现年30岁。
十四岁丧父，与患有间歇性精神病的母亲相依为命。
东子就一直照顾着母亲，成了村里有名的孝子。
东子从小天不怕地不怕。
每天晚上都去山背冲村玩，跟一群人聊聊天，喝喝酒。
到半夜才回家。
而且每次都从那个池塘经过。
大家都佩服他的勇气。
他每次就自豪的说，嗨，你越怕鬼就越找你。
哪有人怕鬼的道理嘛。

俗话说的好，常在河边走哪有不湿鞋。
那夜皓月当空，东子像往常一样半夜从山背冲村回来，经过池塘的时候，感觉有脚步声跟着自己。
东子猛一回头，什么都没有。
东子又走，脚步声又响起来。
东子感觉不对劲，心里犯起了嘀咕：莫非今天阳刚之气减弱，撞上邪了啊。
虽然心里这样嘀咕，但是他知道这个时候不能示弱，一旦自己怕了，那就真得撞上了。
于是大喝一声，黄三，别跟着我，你以为我怕你，找错人了啊。
说完大步迈前，可悲的是，黄三并没有被吓住，依旧有脚步声跟着。
东子心想，我就不信这个邪了。
随即往后一转，看你躲在哪，四周一看，看见一个荆棘丛，心想你这小崽子，肯定是躲在这了，看我不给你好果子吃。
说罢，拿起路边的一堆小石子，狠狠地往那荆棘丛里砸，直到石头子被砸完了，这才罢手。
直起身大步流星的向前走去。
说来也怪，那脚步声也没有跟来了。

第二天吃过晚饭，东子又去山背冲村玩，经过池塘边时，想看看昨夜的荆棘丛被砸成什么样了，可奇怪的是怎么也找不到那个荆棘丛。
东子这下心里有点相信昨天可能真是撞了邪了，原来这个世界还真可能有这些不干净的东西。
那晚跟伙伴们聊起昨天的古怪事，大伙们都说东子是运气好，那东西怕是盯上你了，并且劝他今夜回去的时候不要在走那里，还是绕开点好。
以前听别人说这些事，自己不相信，只是取笑别人，也就没有当回事。
现在自己遇到了，还那么，自然还是有点担心。
果真那晚回去就没有走池塘边，而是绕远走了山路。

但是这山路走着走着，越走越不对劲。
为什么呢？！原来东子发现自己走了一圈又回到了原地方。
在路的不远处有一户人家，灯还亮着，东子就是向着那个方向走的，可是怎么走还是那么远，总是到原地方来。
约莫过了个把小时，东子再次来到了原地方。
这下东子真没办法了，心想果真是被盯上了，隔这么远都不放过我。
但怕归怕，毕竟是有昨夜的经验，寻思着肯定又是躲在哪个地方了。
四下里一找，原来就离自己的不远处有一坟头，杂草丛生。
东子二话不说，解开裤头，一泡尿就撒在坟头上，嘴里还念叨着，敬你一壶酒，别跟着我了。
尿完又上路，果真就走了出去。
东子大呼了一口气，心想还好出来了。

以后东子总是跟人讲起这个故事，告诉人一定不能害怕，越怕，就越找你。
这故事也成了当地的一个美谈。
