风梢儿

听老人说，早年间北方有一种蛇叫风梢儿，剧毒无比，其毒液可穿石融金。
这种蛇刚生出来是白色的，长得和小鳝苗差不多。
爬出窝见光之后开始生硬鳞，接着周身变得黢黑光亮，黑铁一样。
等这种蛇长过了秋天，就会御草而飞，秋后收麦的时候经常会有人远远的看见一根黑线压着麦芒飞，掀起来的风带起层层麦浪。
此蛇若是长过百年，则头顶生冠，鸣声若雄鸡。
山里人碰见都躲着走，好在此蛇生性驯良，有灵性不害人，人们也知道他的厉害，轻易不敢招惹他。

话说到有这么户人家，住在崂山脚下，是一个寡妇带着一个孩子，小孩有七八岁，正是讨人嫌的年纪，寡妇每天让孩子上山区放羊，自己在家开个酱油铺子，卖点柴米油盐，勉强度日。
